Cat Days of Summer program launch by the Dumb Friends League

The Dumb Friends League kicks off their Cat Days of Summer campaign with a “White Paw Special” over Memorial Day weekend.

Any kitties with any amount of white fur on them, aged 1 year or older are half-price throughout the Memorial Day Weekend.

With the warm days of Spring and dog days of summer animal shelters across the united states, Colorado and Douglas County fill up with adorable kittens and cats that are in dire need of forever homes. To bring more awareness at this time of year to their plight, the Dumb Friends League and the Buddy Center created the Cat Days of Summer.

“With this summer-long campaign, we want to improve the perception of cats in our community and encourage more people to adopt their next cat from the Dumb Friends League,” said Bob Rohde, president and CEO of the League. “We will offer adoption deals throughout the summer so we see fewer cats sitting in our shelters and more of them in loving homes.”

For as little as $28 dollar qualifying adoptee’s can take home a furry family friend during the weekend adoption special taking place Memorial Day Weekend May 28 to May 30th 2010 at both the Buddy Center in Castle Rock and the Quebec Street Shelter in Denver, CO.

As is always the case at the Dumb Friends League, a cat’s adoption fee includes:

• a spay/neuter surgery,
• preliminary vaccinations,
• microchip implant and registration,
• collar and identification tag,
• a free initial office visit with a participating veterinarian.
