In June and July, Lone Tree Arts Center will be home to summer sessions for children of all ages.
The first week focuses on the core learning principles of the session’s theme. The second week brings those principles to life with rehearsals and specific preparation for an invited show on the last day, demonstrating to family and friends what they have learned.
Each weekday, students will arrive at LTAC at 9:00 am for warm-ups. Students will be broken into age groups and move through workshops that bring the theatre to life. We will break for lunch mid-day, so students should bring a sack lunch as well as snacks and a water bottle.
Ages 6-8, 9-10, 11-12
One Week (core principles): June 18-22, 9:00am – 3:00pm • $150
Two Weeks (principles & practice): June 18-29, 9:00am – 3:00pm • $275
This session will introduce budding actors to the world of improv and pantomime. By learning improvisational games and techniques, students will develop skills that will lead to feeling comfortable onstage. Improv is the basis of acting as it requires quick character development, the ability to creatively problem solve and think on your feet, and a sense of humor. This session is sure to bring some fun to your summer!
Ages 13-15, 16-18
One Week (core principles): July 9-13, 9:00am – 3:00pm • $150
Two Weeks (principles & practice): July 9-20, 9:00am – 3:00pm • $275
