Annual Halloween Safe Street Trick or Treating for kids

Local merchants will be passing out candy, having a monster dance and a costume contest for kids.
There is plenty of good food and shopping on Old South Gaylord for grown-ups too. And new this year, area food trucks and food vendors will be selling tasty treats and dinner on the go.
There will also be a contest for the Prettiest, Scariest, Most Usual and Best Group costumes. Merchants will submit their top costume nominees to the judges and prizes will be given out at the dancing area at 6:30 pm.

Denver’s First Annual South Gaylord Street Pets on Parade and Costume Contest!
Ghoulish pups and decked out mutts will strut their stuff at the Gaylord Street Pets on Parade to be held on Monday, October 31, 2011 from 3 pm to 4 pm.
Parade check-in is from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm at Lil’ Angel Pet Boutique & Gallery located at 1014 South Gaylord Street –just 5 blocks east of Washington Park – The parade officially starts at 3:00 pm and ends at the tent in front of Lil’ Angel Pet Boutique & Gallery for judging to occur at 3:30 pm. Once all participants have arrived in the tent, one finalists will be chosen in each category by a panel of judges for:
- Most Original
- Most Outrageous
- Best Dressed
- Scariest
- Funniest Group. There will also be a silent auction to benefit the Humane Society of the Grand Bahamas.
Participants for the pet parade are encouraged to pre-register by calling 303-777-0224 or purchase tickets directly at Lil’ Angel Pet Boutique & Gallery. The donations for registration are $15 per pet, and only registered pets and their owners will be eligible for contests, prizes and give-aways.
