Fantastic Food, Family Friendly Fun, Fireworks!
The Rocky Mountain Freedom Festival kicks off for the first time over the July 4th weekend 2011.

Where: Douglas County Fairgrounds
This event will include:
- Kansas City BBQ Society sanctioned BBQ Cook-Off with 75+ competitors
- 2 Stages with live music all three days
- Carnival Rides
- 90+ Artisan Booths
- Beer Garden
- Carnival Food
- Fantastic Fireworks Display
With a KC National BBQ Contest, Carnival Rides,

Thursday June 30, 2011
- 7:00am – 4:00pm – BBQ Cook Teams Early Load-In
- 5:00pm – 10:00pm – Soft Opening
- Carnival Only $20.00 Unlimited Rides ($15.00 with canned food donation)
Friday July 1, 2011
- 7:00am – 3:00pm – BBQ Cookers – Remaining cookers Load – in
- 4:00pm – BBQ Cook Team Meeting
- 4:30pm – All Vendors must be set and ready to open for business
- 5:00pm – OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
- 11:00pm – Event Closes for the evening
- 11:00pm-7:00am QUIET TIME
Saturday July 2, 2011
- 8:00am – Judges Registration
- 9:00am – Judges Meeting
- 10:00am – OPEN TO PUBLIC
- 12:00pm – First Turn-in (Chicken)
- 3:30pm – 4:30pm – Awards Ceremony
- 10:30pm – Fireworks
- 11:00pm – Closing Time
Sunday July 3, 2011
- 10:00am – Open to the Public
- 12:00pm – Music on Main Stage
- 2:00pm – DC Idol Competition Finals
- 7:00pm – Shops on Main St. Vendors can close Food Vendors must stay until 10pm.
- 10:00pm – Closing Time!
